Very sneaky, Jay, characterizing my reply before I have even made it. You must be a lawyer. :)

In reality, no clever spin is required. The US economy is now experiencing net job creation versus its relatively recent net job destruction. This is good. But....the data is lumpy - no surprise - in response to (i) actual lumpiness in job creation, and (ii) statistically predictable inaccuracies in the data collection process.

Right now, pessimism reigns, though this month's job data is but a hiccup (a perturbation about the trend, my friend). So, interest rates stay put much longer and we are at or close to this year's lows on the DOW and Nasdaq and at what will be seen eighteen months hence as a GBO.
