ISH, Did not call him pathetic I said his reply to me was pathetic. I have a great deal of respect for mike and what he has done and i have always made that clear but he is one of the reasons i believe in civilian control of the military. His is one view of things--the military view and its an important component part of making policy. I think that he sometimes fails to see the other side of issues. But i learned in the vietnam aftermath never to minimize the contributions of these folks and to never fail to appriciate what they have sacrificed for us. mike
