Brian, RE: "you say he was SLOW to respond...."
7 minutes is extremely slow. 3 minutes would have been sufficient to ensure a smooth transition.
RE: "some people in the democratic party say he overreacted. You cannot have it both ways."
You need to learn that my posts here are sincere. You also need to learn to ask for a person's reasons for their opinions, rather than accusing and jumping to wrong assumptions. 7 minutes is excessively slow, puzzlingly slow, 3 minutes is not, and his behavior is gloomy. And sometimes his judgement is wrong. I also think he's become aware of his mistakes but he comes across as someone that lacks the forgiving attitude. Those are my reasons.
This brings up another old post of yours. You once wrongly accused me of being inconsistent when you felt I didn't say too much about Clinton's obnoxious behavior (though, you obviously missed some posts of mine). Meanwhile, I noticed you didn't notice I said nothing about Arnold's groping. If you had asked me for my opinion, rather than making wrong assumptions, I would have told you that govt politicians statistically seem to be more sleazy (regardless of their party), and as long as they don't work in my industry, it's not my problem. I've been consistent - it's you that's been wrongly accusing people of being political rather than asking for their opinions.
RE: "I cannot believe Kerry is politicizing this horrible day"
I completely agree with you on this point.
Now stop invalidating my opinion by claiming it's political. Frankly, I think Bush is depressed and felt sorry for him. We treat our leaders like dirt and maybe we have a role in their depression.
