I would think that most intelligent people would accept that is so, certainly on the basis of what we know now and on the extrapolation of the existing situation forward. However, many Western people do not and cannot accept it. Many believe that the "swamping" of the white race marks the End Times mentioned in Revelation. It is therefore necessary to stand and fight. Armageddon. It's the us or them mentality which, clearly, must be behind the thinking in the PNAC in its striving for the "New American Empire". And, clearly, this is the attraction of the Israeli "struggle" against the Palestinians for the right-wing Christians.
