No, Ann. I will stick to my guns as previously posted to michael. For Cheney to resign now would be interpreted as a 'cave in' for narrow political advantage by Bush. Bush's reputation is based on his true grit qualities and his steadfastness and standfastness in the face of danger. He and Cheney make a good team that appeals to a wide spectrum of the voting population, especially in the so-called battleground states.

To replace Chaney on the ticket would be touted as an admission on the part of the Republicans that something was wrong with the way the team has conducted this campaign for reelection and would lose Bush more votes than any replacement for Cheney might bring to him.
