American "Half-Truth" Spirit is like a broken record when it comes to the so-called bid Laden investment in Arbusto (for the sake of story telling, AS generally refers to Arbusto as Harken). The reality is that the bid Laden's never directly put money into Arbusto, though the funds invested by James Bath, a mere $50,000, were probably bid Laden money.

Note the timing of the investments: 1979 and 1980. Long before Osama discovered his life's work.

As for my quesiton on Michael "Half-Truth" Moore, AS' non-reponse tells be that Moore's movie lacked adequate disclosure on the dollar amount. How shocking.

For your information, Kevin Phillips documented the James Bath investment long before Moore. You should read Phillips' book American Dynasty. Bath injected $50,000 into two Arbusto partnerships in 1979 and 1980. Gee, that time frame would seem to coincide with the period when Carter started arming the insurgents in Afghanistan. I'm curious. Did Michael "Half-Truth" Moore mention a dollar amount in his movie?
