WHT is an interesting situation. They want to buy Imgold, but CDE wants to buy WHT...WHT is not particularly interested in being bought out. Presently, the offer is only about 3% premium to the stock price of WHT, but as Mikey pointed out the earnings report may boost that a little.

I'm curious as to why one would buy a stock that is buying out another company. Historically, the buying companies' stock price always goes down as they will be depleting assests in order to do the purchase. Agreed, if the purchase is going to be a good thing long term, to earnings, then in time the price would reflect that. However, a buying company is always an arbitrage play.

Anyway, TA wise I could'nt give you a read as to WHT getting back to 3.00, it all depends on the offer from CDE.
