One benefit from these high oil and gas prices (I am not going to comment if it is manipulated or not) is that more people realize that we must implement a energy program to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. I think this is an ideal that both republican and democrats who care about this country can embrace. The technologies are already here: battery, solar, ethanol, etc. It is a question of prioritizing and major funding to get the program going. J.
