Kerry's crew, who actually served on his Swift boat, vehemently defend Kerry's valor. Not all of them. The question has been asked here twice. What is in it for those in Kerry's crew who side with him? The answer is obvious to me. By hanging onto Kerry's coattails and stories over the years, they have achieved hero status in their own minds and neighborhoods. All of that including their own awards is now in danger. If Kerry is a liar, they are too. I expect the book "Unfit For Command", due for release next week, to be loaded with fine details, referenced and cross-referenced. I am certain Kerry's staff knows this. I expect it to be a message so ripe with detail and truth that Kerry's only hope is to blow away the messengers now. He has one week to get it done.
