They've already done whatever damage they could anyway.

You did not indicate damage to whom. If it is damage to Kerry, I would disagree since John McCain has already asked Bush to dissociate himself from the ad like he has. McCain, by doing so has already sent a subliminal message to his supporters about what he thinks of Bush privately.

So this ad has damaged Bush and has forced his hand. I am waiting to see how Bush reacts. Whether he would listen to his Higher Father and use Cheney to tell his handlers what Cheney told on the Senate floor.
