It was very bi-partisan Ken. You are right on that. But, what disturbs me about your "hands across the aisle" spin is that you want to pontificate this only when it's a piece of legislation that you don't care for.
Where's your bi-partisan swagger when it's the war in Iraq, No Child Left Behind, Patroit Act, etc.
Better yet, since you're a huge Clintonphile...how about some bi-partisan credit to Newt Gingrich, Contract with America, shutting down the government twice to make a budget cut point, and all that other Clinton glorifying credit you dish out. He was so mired in "scandals of the week" controversies that he lost the House, Senate, & gubernatorial majorities for the first time many, many years. Yea...the people loved the guy, but only in legislative handcuffs & leg irons. |
