Differences
1) Knowledge of each other. Iraqis know a great deal about the West. More than we know about the Arab world. Many speak English and French, are educated in the West, see American films on TV, and have learned about the West in School.
2) Free education and health services. All Iraqis had these services prior to the invasion. A similar system is not to be found in the USA.
3) Classes in society. There were very few poor in Iraq prior to the invasion. In fact there was a very large middle class which was based on a welfare society. A welfare society doesn't exist in the US.
4) Civilization: USA's civilization is based on about 2,000 years of civilization, Iraq's on 7,000 years.
5) De facto military strength, military spending is more than 300 times greater than Iraq's.
