My point about National Service is more about getting Americans more involved in their county's future like working in schools, home rebuilding / cleaning up Urban and Rural areas for a few years. Helping out in poor areas of America and around the world. The time is also a great opportunity for these people to become more independent from their parents and also help them learn more about other classes of American rich, poor, highly educated and those with little education. The Grand Canyon effect (Haves vs Have Nots ) is killing America domestically and internationally and the forced opportunity for America's youth to get to know each other while helping others is worth the foolish slavery comparisons.
