Capitalism magazine has a lot of articles. If you have one or two you want me to comment on I'll read them. As for "Draft is slavery". I think I already covered that. It meets the definition of slavery, and in some cases (for example soldiers drafted in to the army of an unfree country with an abusive leadership) it also would be an experience somewhat like what we think of when we hear the word slavery. I am strongly against a draft, if I would support one at all it would have to be in a situation at least as severe as WWII, but in a situation like WWII I think we would get plenty of volunteers so I'm not 100% sure it would be needed even then. Gun control - I am strongly against it unless it means hitting your target. I am against it for both constitutional and libertarian reasons, as well as for practical reasons. "Inter-racial relations such as marriage" - I have no problem with people of different races dating or marrying. Also I don't even think its much of an issue any more. I suppose there are still a few die-hards out there supporting making inter-racial marriage illegal, but they are few and far between and have no real power. There are many other bigots who would look down on inter-racial couples. I don't think we can stop people from thinking bigoted thoughts and I don't think the government should try to do so. Gay "marriage" - I think gay people should be able to have sexual and romantic relationships without being harassed or hindered by the government or by anyone else. However I don't think that society has an obligation to recognize these relationships as a marriage. In theory I can see a decent argument for getting the government out of the marriage business, then individuals or churches (or perhaps local government or community organizations) could decide what they want to call marriage and what they don't want to call marriages. However I know that isn't going to happen. I suppose I would not be against states implementing some form of domestic partnership law. Tim
