OK. Two action items, and some suggestions.

Olga, do not turn on you PC unless to have clearly decided what you are going to do and how you are going to do it.

From what you have said, your BIOS chip is functioning, it may not be set properly, but you can get access to it.(yes?) By pressing the "DEL" button on start up?? before windows loads. The problem with windows crashing and rebooting is a minor problem by comparison imho.

You need to be precise with your descriptions of your actions. It does not matter who you you talk to, your MB support or anyone else, this is the only way these things get fixed. Your descriptions of what your PC is doing is precise and that's good.

When I get into trouble with my PC, the first thing I do is stop what I am doing and then write everything down that I did as best as I remember. I do this before contacting anyone else. I also keep a log of everything I do, from then on, as I perform recovery or whatever. Actually I have gotten into a habit of recording everything I do when I meddle with my PC, and it's a good habit to pick up. I have used my PC's MB support, Windows XP support, and found them friendly, helpful, and of course professional. I would never expect ever to be charged anything (unless it really was my own negligent fault) from using their systems and software. I never have been charged anything either.

OK (I notice this is your initials too -g-) the two things we need to differentiate first are your BIOS SETTINGS and your WINDOWS XP configuration.

As I type this my wife is giving me instructions of what I need to buy from the local shop, so I will finish up quick for now...

Question 1. When you said you "cleared" your BIOS, what does this mean?. Did your PC reboot up OK after the FSB change but before you did the BIOS update from the MB support link? Or did you do things in a different order?

There is resetting the BIOS (usually either "safe" or "optimum"), but there is also resetting Windows XP to "last known good configuration". You can get manually stop windows from loading up by pressing F8 on my machine.

OK, before doing anything else, lets hear what's happened causing this reboot loop-up.

best of luck.
