MXIM and LLTC have had phenomenal records these past 20 years and the environment for high performance analog is much better now than it was during most of that interval.

I hope you don't believe Merrill Lynch (ML)when it called MXIM "a cyclical company in a cyclical industry." 4% dilution must be compared to 25% expected growth. I think that MXIM and LLTC are buy and hold companies, only sold during dot com type bubbles. ALTR and XLNX, are similar. I don't know how to describe AMAT, ASML, KLAC, and NVLS, but, I think, certainly, less cyclical and more growth than in the past.
