If "the atrocities" are "now well documented", it would not make the swift boat veterans case less credible unless the documented atrocities where committed by those vets or the atrocities where so common as to make it impossible not to trip over several of them even on a short tour in Vietnam.

.just google it and see.

You can find just about anything through google, but the fact that a search site indexes it doesn't make it true.

But they shouldn't associate themselves with political radicals who only interest in them is to use them against Kerry.

1 - Calling the people who paid for the aid "political radicals" is begging the question.

2 - If the stories are 100% true what is wrong with using the money of Kerry's enemies to get the story out? If they where false and a well known moderate liberal funded the adds or the vets funded them with their own money that wouldn't make the false adds true. The source of funding doesn't determine the truth of the adds or the credibility of the information. The adds are either true or they are false (or parts are true and parts are false) whoever funded them.
