Did Kerry say that they specifically committed atrocities?

I didn't say that Kerry said that. But if they had committed the atrocities it would obviously lower their credibility. If they didn't the fact that atrocities did happen in Vietnam doesn't lower their credibility, again unless they where so commonplace that they happened all the time and any vet would have been likely to have seen multiple atrocities.

As for googling....just a great way to gather info...it's easy to tell the bad sources from the good.

Not always, esp. in cases of unconfirmed historical claims that have become political issues.

Are you suggesting the atrocity stories are false????

1 - The focus of this conversation hasn't been the atrocities but rather the claims by the "Swiftvets" which are not focused on atrocities.

2 - You have to be more specific. Am I claiming that no atrocities occurred in Vietnam? No. I am claiming that they where not common place or casually accepted.
