IKE & ALL:...FYI, mini S&P's This just in from Lind-Waldock & Co (Chicago)... Ticker Symbol ....... ES (futures only, no cash) Contract Size ....... $50 x Index Tick size ....... 0.25 index points ($12.50 per contract) Contract Months ..... March, June, September, December Last Trading Day .... The Thursday prior to the Third Friday of the contract month Trading Hours .... (Chicago Time) Virtually around the Clock Trading begins Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon. Monday - Thurs, the contract trades from 3:30p.m. until 3:15pm the next day. The trading session that begins on Thursday afternoon at 3:30pm ends at 3:15pm Friday afternoon... ...in a long awaited response to requests for a smaller S&P 500 contract, In SEPTEMBER the Merc is introducing a "mini" version of the original at one-tenth the size. The mini S&P will be traded electronically over the GLOBEX system... Hope the above helps...//db
