Looks like they are hoping Kerry can come up with "I was on a secret mission" Where Were You on Christmas, 1968? I would love to hear Kerry explain how he snuck into Cambodia, on a black OP, in full clandestine mode, at the request of the CIA, by sneaking a 50' boat quietly up a creek. Apocalypse Now was released in 1979. Kerry probably watched it a few times before telling the Senate his memories of a run into Cambodia to drop off a CIA agent were seared into his brain. The CIA had its own air force in SEA. Why would they screw around with a LT Junior Grade on a black OP? The answer is easy. They wouldn't.
