By Alex Emery

Aug. 10 (Bloomberg) -- A shortage of trucks in China is limiting the supply of copper, Platts reported.
China is giving priority to coal deliveries to ensure power supply, leaving fewer vehicles to transport copper, the news service said, citing a copper analyst at state metals research company Beijing Antaike it didn't name.

Copper deliveries to clients in the Zhejuang and Jiangsu provinces are taking three to four days instead of normal one-day deliveries, Platts said.Copper stockpiles monitored by the Shanghai Metal Exchange have dropped 49 percent in the past three weeks to 34,602 tons as of Aug. 5.
