He has put that forth as a major reason for us to elect him President. If the book is truthful, the foundation of his campaign is fraudulent. He has, although I imagine that's largely a defensive move, not a stand he would have taken absent charges of wimpiness. Since he has made a big deal about it, though, it seems reasonable to challenge him on that score. I have no issue with folks questioning his credibility as a war hero. But voters are under no obligation to vote for or against him based on his proposed reason for their electing him. Their reasons are based on what's important to them. My question is, as a voter, what weight should I put on this?
