Are you telling me that, if faced with the choice between two candidates, one of which agreed with you on every issue but had done what Kerry is accused of and the other of which is your worst nightmare, issue wise, you'd vote for the nightmare because his character was stronger?

It could be a tipping point for undecided voters.

At a practical level, I agree. Which is why I said that I understand why partisans are so eager for this to have legs.
