kerry paid with blood, sweat and service just like the swift boat veterans. Yep. I acknowledge that. Its the extent of his "heroics" and fitness for command which seems to be an issue..... You can't get around that. He was there. I did not try to "get arounnd it" It appears that Kerry embellished quite a good deal on his service...like stating he was in Cambodia and using that to attack Reagan from the Senate floor....which was a lie. Also, the swift boat veterans are the same group that slammed McCain in the 2000 primaries. Doing Bushe's dirty work once again. This is simply incorrect. O'Neill was not connected to that effort. You say you are not in favor of the sort of tactic being done by the 527 orgs. But you clearly favor the swift boat veterans and more than likely any other org. slamming a democrat I favor the right of the Swift boat vets, all 60 of them who served with Kerry, including all of his commanding officers, to state their opinions relative to his fitness and alleged "heroics".....I don't favor the use of 527 orgs. and I don't think either campaign does.There's too much danger of an unintended backlash....
