You failed to mention that Mr Rassman was on Kerry's boat for at the most--2 days. He was NOT a crewmember, rather he belonged to Special Forces. If you listened to John O'Neill give the details of Mr Rassman's situation, you realize that Kerry's boat exited the scene when Rassman was knocked off the boat by a nearby mine explosion. The swiftboats that remained in the area after the mine explosion were scooping other navy personnel from the water when Kerry finally returned and managed to pull Rassman onto his boat. The incident did not occur according to Kerry's scenario whereby his was the only boat to remain on the scene. The other SwiftVets are naturally outraged that Kerry painted himself as the hero and them as cowards in that particular incident. JK used that same strategy during his congressional testimony when he tried to portray himself as the knight in shining armor who would expose all other Vietnam vets as, in his words, "committing daily atrocities." The 60 "SwiftVets Against John Kerry" members declare the daily atrocity charges as bold-faced lies by Kerry. Indeed Kerry recently described his testimony as "over the top."

John O'Neill was chosen to represent those military members who were proud of their service in Vietnam and never participated in the radical anti-war actions that Kerry organized during his war protest days. O'Neill in fact represents all Americans who at the time & today consider Vietnam as one major battle(along with Korean Conflict) in the USA's valiant campaign to defeat totalitarian Communism during the Cold War.

Liberals make a serious mistake when they assume all Americans supported the radical anti-Vietnam War protests. That's far from the truth. Most average Americans considered the protest groups as anarchists who were willing to say & do anything in order to further their cause. John Kerry is using those same tactics in a fruitless attempt to win the U.S. Presidency.
