Beliefs are one thing. Facts are another. I can't figure out why some very simple facts are in dispute... did Kerry pull that guy out of the water under enemy fire, for example, or was the firefight over? In that case we look at other factors to decide. Given the background of all the players, it is my belief that it happened under fire. Isn't it nice how easily facts can be converted into beliefs and vice-versa?
