Nadine:

Having read Blinded by the Right by David Borck I fully understand what is happening here. David described in detail in his book when he was a golden hair boy for the Conservative RIGHT and worked for the American Spectator what was involved in smear campaigns against anyone they chose to smear. by fabricating lies and paying money for testimonies from those invovled.....

He personally smeared Anita Hill. Lies were made up about her. They later learned that Thomas did in fact have pornographic tapes and had a history of the sexual innuendos but at the time it was just important to GET HER.

Then there were the State Troopers that were paid by American Spectator money financed by Richard Mellon Schaif... They lied about Clinton and the procurement of women. They later retracted when they found out they were only getting $ 50.000 each or left to ennui.

So, no I don't belive this men. I think it is as I have printed here a conspiracy to discredit an American Veteran. I don't think service to ones country should have been entered in the political arena. For one thing it may have been started by the Democrats about Bush and his apparent LACK of service. However, to discredit a man who served honorably, was wounded and then later changed his mind about the war is a disgraceful thing to do. I thought we honored all our vets...

Exerpted from article:

The worst of the current wave of attacks is coming from a
Republican-funded group called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth." (I'll call them by a more accurate name: Swift Boat Veterans for Bush.) The group is led by a longtime Republican operative and financed by GOP contributors with strong tries to President George W. Bush. Their function in the overall Republican strategy is this: tear down John Kerry, since Bush has no record or vision to run on.

The Swift Boat ad is full of lies. Thirteen men who never served with John Kerry lie about knowing him and viciously attack his record. It is a new low for the Republicans.

Every time they have attacked Kerry like this, it has only made Democrats stronger. When they ran dishonest attack ads (like the unbelievable new one on the air right now), thousands of new supporters gave the resources needed to fight back on the airwaves.
