Vietnam is part of Kerry's experiences. The Vietnam war shaped his character.
Do you really want George W. Bush to make a speech at the Republican National
Convention that addresses the drug and alcohol problems that he had when he
was a young man? Do you expect Bush to say: I was a drunk
and I used cocaine. Look at how drugs have made an impact on my life!

Then there is the issue of whether he deserted the national guard. He could
stand up at the Republican National Convention and hold up
the W2 forms that showed he was actually with the Alabama National Guard
unit even though no one can remember seeing him there.

Ann, I can not believe that you would want the Republican National Convention focused
on Bush's drug problem, alcohol abuse and National Guard Service.
