Cutting losses rule A cutting loss rule seems to me to be in opposition to the basic principles of value investing. However, it might make some sense for growth and momentum stocks, which are much more dependent on investor sentiment and earnings trends. So I could see where it would make sense for some investors , but not for others. I, of course, don't follow this rule. MC
