Esteban and Gottfried,

Thanks to both of you for offering ideas. This could be a problem associated with having ZA identical programs on both computers. When I have just one (or the other) machine on ZA tells me "all is well" and that I need do nothing further for max protection. When both are on I get a message telling me to update.

This isn't near the problem I may have alluded to as I only turn on one of the machines on Saturday to do massive week long downloads on stuff I keep but rarely look at. Please don't ask me why. Rote!

Matter of fact, I'm thinking of giving the older machine, which is a fine but slower HP, loaded with stuff, to an outfit here in town that goes through them and gives them to kids who can't buy their own. I've done this with 3 earlier machines and it just feels good.
