Kerry was there, and saw the war. He saw the way it was being conducted, and heard additional stories from fellow vets, that showed him the war was clearly not only unwinnable, but immoral. Rather than sit on his ass and say, "It's not my problem.", he followed his conscience and sought an end to the war.

Bush got into the Guard by jumping up the list, via political connections, with the worst possible passing score on his qualification exam. He avoided service, when he could have volunteered. In fact, given the country's need and the money we put into training him, he should have felt some OBLIGATION to volunteer, if he loved his country as much as Kerry obviously does. But, he held back, then sort of...vanished...

Bush was an incompetent businessman. He failed in daddy's business - oil. He got the baseball deal because of connections, not performance. Would YOU hire a failed businessman for an important role, where he had no experience? Not unless there was some additional incentive...like garnering the favor of the father. He was not considered 'successful' with the Rangers - the value of ALL teams were and have been rising.

Bush was a mediocre governor in a state where influence is king and dirty politics the norm. His claimed 'successes', like in education, were built on lies. His most notable accomplishment was in executing prisoners.

Bush has done a lousy job as President, in just about every metric. Economy, foreign policy, war on terrorism, environment, international alliances, health and science, and trustworthiness. 6% unemployment? Try close to 10% at the height, when counting all those who gave up looking for work. Millions of lost jobs, many replaced by lower paying ones so that people could just get by. A record surplus turned into a record deficit, on an INCREASE in the size of government and discretionary spending. All these failures despite controlling Congress - or should I say, because of it?

His administration is the most secretive in history, while working to reduce freedoms and access to information. Even Republican leaders have taken stances against his policies and decisions.

He has destroyed the ideals of the Republican party: fiscal and personal responsibility. His administration has caused the USA to be viewed as one of the biggest threats to world peace, alongside Israel, Iran, and North Korea. He has decimated our moral high ground, with lies about WMDs, Iraq, and government-advocated torture of prisoners.

There is almost no area where he has not failed.

President Bush - we only need one more failure from you, for the good of the country. On November 2nd.
