Kerry pulled Rasmann out of the water while gun fire was taking place. There was severe damage to Kerry's boat from the gunfire. O'Neill wasn''t even there at the time. Rasmann put in for Kerry's medal - not Kerry. O'Neill lied about Kerry 3rd Purple Heart which was awarded for wounds Kerry received at the time he rescued Rasmann.
