It is my understanding that Matsushita was supplying the batteries for both the Prius, Honda's Insight and the Hybrid Civic. Energy Conversion won the lawsuit so it follows that there would be some royalty stream. Also it would seem that it would be in Toyota's best interest to adopt the prismatic batteries.
