The headlines today lasted only for the few minutes about Halliburton and were taken off the screens as soon as media moguls woke up in their beds and rushed to discipline their stupid editors that this not the news for the general public to contemplate.

My guess is that $1.8 billion pocketed by cheney's friends will soon be forgotten as the money will be spread out to proper circles, who knows how much of these money will find the way for reelection campaign.

As for your links - the prison system in the US would collapse without war on drugs, lawyers, judges, police, prison guards and hundreds of thousands of inmates would make ugly statistics for BLS. BTW, maybe American Law Society would turn their heads toward notorious crimes committed by this administration against humanity and all conventions if it wasn't so occupied with what to do to turn youngsters from having once in while a joint to hard drugs. Maybe they would have their heads more open toward international justice and find out that maybe Saddam wasn't such a devil after all taking into the account that it wasn't him who lied about WMD. Maybe we would discover the real motives for the creation of lies to take the country to the war.
