RE>>> "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" <<

Greg - allow me to try and show you again why I find this
verse inconclusive when proving what you think it indeed proves.

Your attitude is plain as revealed in this statement:

RE>>> The Physical resurrection and future bodily
return of Jesus are two such unassailable and historical
doctrines that the Church has believed since the apostles
wrote the New Testament.
<<

What you are saying is that it is impossible for you to be wrong.

It is impossible because it is impossible for the church to be wrong.

Considering the fact that you truly believe that with all your
heart and soul - it is no wonder that I must conclude you
to be unteachable at this point.

Now none of what I have just said is any kind of name calling
or attack against you - it is the plain and simple truth.

Can you agree that you are never going to examine
these "bullwork truths" as you see them?

Can you admit that at least from my perspective -
you are absolutely unteachable?

You are quite right as memory serves me...
at one point I did ask for some time to get a work that
deals with the word "bodily" as it appears in the verse
you repeat over and again as absolute proof that Christ
had to return in a physical body:

RE>>> "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" <<

I actually ordered the books and entered my credit card info
and waited weeks for those books to arrive.
I had to caution my wife to see if I was charged for the
books but I never was.
After waiting a month and not getting them - I lost interest
in the books to some degree - I do not need more reference books
but also I lost hope of really ever reaching you on even ground.
I have far too many books filling shelves gallore and at this point
I am thinking of selling everything and moving to China anyway.

I do however recall sharing with you why I can not take the word
"bodily" as an absolute literal reference to a literal physical body.

I also recall giving you another verse that will not work under
your constraints if used to "prove" a physical return of Christ.

That verse is:

Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape
like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which
said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Here the words "bodily shape" express how most people see
the Holy Ghost descending upon Christ.

I do not know of anyone who honestly believes that the Holy Ghost
had a real body of a bird with feathers and beak etc.

I guess I would have to ask you - do you really think the Holy Ghost
had a physical body when it descended upon Christ and if not
why not?
The word in Collosions is the same just a different form.

The use of the word "body" often refers to something other
than a physical body Greg - "a body of work" or "the core body or our group" etc...

I think I will leave it at that Greg - as you have expressed to me
more than once that you do not appreciate the effort I put into
the long posts I have written you.

Please continue to pray for me however as I am in the midst of some very
big decisions and do not want to make some costly errors if I can avoid them.

Thanks - Brian
