Bush may appear "strong", but behind that macho facade is a simplistic bully who thinks in black and white. He has little understanding of the nuances of the terrorist mind and little inclination to study the issue.

Had he considered the issue carefully, as did his father, he would have concluded that removing a marginalized Saddam and occupying a ethnicly diverse Muslim nation was simply not worth the enormous risk and cost. By the time all is said and done Iraq may cost America $400 billion and 8,000 dead and wounded and we will leave a nation about as democratic as Egypt or Pakistan... a far cry from the quick military victory followed by a democratic Iraq and welcome home parades envisioned by the right wingnuts who talked Bush into this misadventure. And, as President Mubarek of Egypt warned... with a thousand more Osamas targeting us.

I won't even get into the Bush domestic policy misadventures.

I've expressed many times that if Dems could actually come up with a candidate who was as strong on fighting the terrorists' as GW Bush, I would consider voting for him/her.
