I have edited this by removing references to Bush. I just am reading that a fundraiser is bankrolling the ads, that academic institutions have discredited it ( I should like to know which ones ) and one of the veterans in the ads apologizes...

I remember the stir when the State Troopers came forward to talk about Clinton and their having to procure women for him. Later it was proven that they lied and were paid to lie. At the time it caused a big stir. How was Clinton to disprove their accusations ? They had served him but were willing to turn against him for the money,. State Troopers in Arkansas do not get paid to much. Richard Mellon Schaif was willing to pay them fifty thousand each.
Later they personally retracted their statements. We shall have to see what happens here. However, again, Kerry Volunteered to be in Viet Nam. He risked his life. I cannot fault him.

Texas fundraiser Robert Perry[2] bankrolls ads against Kerry, which independent
academic institutions have discredited.[3] Even as Sen. John McCain (R) demands
the White House issue a statement denouncing the tactics,[4]. Even
as one of the veterans' in the ads apologizes for his attacks,[5]
