It's a long way to Tipperary.

It's also a long way to November.

And those ads successfully planted in the minds of millions of voters the image intended:

"Senator Kerry is a flip-flopper."

That is the image that $50 million bought. That is the image that Kerry has tried to escape. That is the image that still predominates when one thinks of Kerry.

A good return for the money. And the campaign has only just begun.
