Yes... it's a long way to November. Anything can happen. The image of a flip flopper predominates in some circles, perhaps, but one must be careful not to assume it predominates everywhere, and the predominant image is relative to other considerations. What comes to mind when one thinks of Bill Clinton? Yet his poll ratings after the an ugly impeachment trial suggest he would have won re-election had he been able to run again.
