Boy, are you full of it Andrew: Responding to your reasons you like Bush.
Bush is NOT honest. He is clever but anything but honest. Were you asleep while he was promising us he was a moderate in 2000? Were you asleep when he was telling us Saddam was an imminent threat with WMD's ready for attack? How about understating the Medicare bill cost by 135 billion? How about claiming he fulfilled all his obligations with the Guard in 1972? That is not even including the false and misleading ads he runs and all of his misleading slogans, feel-good names for lousy bills (Clear Skies, Healthy Forests, Leave No Child Left Behind) and his many yuears of financial shenanigans in Texas and in and around the energy gouging community.
Kerry is not egotistical except in s solid healthy way. He did not film himself in Vietnam any more than any soldier does. Notice how little footage there is. Just a few Super 8 reels and a few stills. He was a war HERO. He didn't have to go to combat but volunteered to and excelled. He has worked hard all his life and has never told a single lie in his public career which I or anyone else can find. Can you? Furthermore, on crucial subjects like Iraq, AL Qaida and the budget he has been right almost 100% of the time and warned Bush not to make the mistake he has.
Obviously, you are just blindly loyal to Bush, otherwise you would see how outrageous your comparison is.
Other falsehoods in your statement: Bush has no ulterior motives? Oh come on. He is a totally political animal who was trained by Lee Atwater, granddaddy of political dirty tricks. And look at his big energy ties. Gas prices have doubled since Bush promised us he would jawbone OPEC to bring the prices down.
- What Kerry did after Vietnam was controversial but very painfully honest and important in saving thousands of lives of fellow soldiers. No one but a dope could say that by 1971 the Vietnam War wasn't a complete mistake and colosal waste backed by momnumental lies and cover-ups.
- it is Kerry that Kerry serves? What's that supposed to mean. If he were serving himself financially he'd be for big tax breaks for the rich. yes he's ambitious but what top politician isn't? if he were some selfish jerk do you think he would have so many people back him with all their hearts and soul? Not a chance.
And he really does care about the issues and policies we need going forward. He really cares. very deeply. Much more deeply than Bush. I know him. I can vouch for that. The guy cares as much as any politician in Washington about this country and its people, plus its environment which Bush doesn't mind sacrificing to the polluters for campaign contributions. Kerry would die for his country. Bush wouldn't. That is the biggest diffference of all and it's been proven.
- You talk about character. Where is Bush's great character? He was AWOL in 1972, then spent the next 20 years basically goofing off, drinking snd taking advantage of his famous last name and daddy's investor friends, including the Bin Laudens. When he came president he broke half his campaign promises, veered to the far right and went on more vacations and fundraising trips than anyone in history, totally ignoring terrorism until after 9-11 despite many warnings. And on 9-11 itself, what did he do when he found out we were attacked? Just sat there for 7 minutes without doing anything.!!!! Character??? Maybe a little but nothing major. Not fit for duty. And look at what a bad job he's done. Name one solitary success of Bush's. Bet you can't. |
