You mean like the French? The French have spent the last 40 years stabbing us in the back. Plus they had significant economic interests in Iraq- -largely acquired in defiance of the international embargo on Iraq.

Or the Russians? They had economic interests and were owed money by the Iraqis.

The same is true of the Germans.

Other Europeans? The years from about 1948 to 1991 were an aberration. The US and Europe had been commonly economic rivals before that and disputes between the US and European nations were common. (You DO know thar a trade war between the US and Europe contributed significantly to the Great Depression, right?) Then the Cold War started and it was circle the wagons against the Russian bear. When the USSR collapsed, NATO lost its purpose and the old problems resurfaced. Many of them, along with nations in other parts of the world, look at this as a chance to take advantage of Uncle Sam.

Or the Muslim nations? What? You thought they would go along?
