All good points. But, I think that there are even more fundamental reasons for Bush needing a change of scenery. As Bush said recently, Results Matter. And, based on the results of his presidency, he is a phenomenal failure. Across the board. Economy, education, foreign policy, social policy, war on terrorism, defense, environment. His record is terrible.
Defenders will claim that he was dealt a crummy hand. Funny hearing that from people who are consistently opposed to social programs that help the disadvantaged.
If Bush were Clinton, he'd be hanging from a lamppost. If Clinton were Bush, he'd be made Dictator for Life by the neocons... |
