John, I will be going out later and getting the NJ papers, and I will be very surprised if any of the editorials take your approach. They will talk about his "courage", and his family, and the gay aspect. I agree wholeheartedly with your post, but for the average New Jerseyan, at least the ones who grew up here, this is business as usual. The NY Post editorial had it right: Just Another NJ Pol.

As for Democratic outrage, forget about it. All they're doing now is manuvering to keep the statehouse in Dem hands by not having McGreevey officially resign until Nov. and begging Jon Corzine to step in. (Don't think he will, though). If there is enough screaming from the voters about the sliminess of how this was handled, McGreevey may be forced to resign now, and there will be a special election. Don't count on it though. Remember Torricelli.
