Does anyone follow the MineWeb Watchlist of market cap / ounce production and market cap / probable & proven? You can click on the table headings to sort the columns to help compare.

MC/PP is a good measure of leverage to the gold price and also a measure of how much certain companies are discounted based on geopolitical and other risk. Based partly on this list, I've put a good chunk of my own money in Gold Reserve (MC/P&P of $11/ounce) and Gabriel (MC/P&P of $23/ounce).

Gold Reserve has a relatively low grade deposit, but if you believe like me that the price of gold is eventually going much higher, this one will surely explode in price when it does, given its massive discount at current prices. The Venezualan political risk premium is surely overblown, and for reasons I have never quite figured out, seem to be factored in much more for this stock than for its close neighbours Bolivar and Crystallex.

As for Gabriel, I've actually visited the Transylvanian region of Romania close to where Rosia Montana mine site is, and can comment on several things from my own experience. Will the mine go ahead? If Romanians are not totally insane and pigheaded, I think that it has to. I have a lot to say on this, so will make a separate posting explaining my opinion.
