Why don't you try less mindless bile, and more arguments, Johannes? (It seems clear from you side-stepping the questions below, and resorting to childish name-calling instead, that you have PROBLEMS with the liberties that Americans have grown up with as their birthright.)
Enough with this Authoritarian 'PC' crap of yours!
Re: "If you were truly Libertarian, you would have an intense respect for the rights of consumers to have their contracts with service providers properly fulfilled."
You seem to have NO IDEA what you are talking about, NONE AT ALL.
Q: When you buy a ticket to --- say --- a music concert... is there any express language printed on you ticket saying that the performer will never say anything political or social in nature?
Q: Is there even an *implied* contract that the performer will never speak but when they are singing... that they have abrogated their Constitutional rights to Free Speech because of the ticket you purchased?
Q: When you watch a sitcom on TV, is there any contract between you and the producers stating that they will never have any of their characters say anything that you disagree with?
No, there isn't, so get off this PC kick of yours.
Stop thinking that the world has to agree with you on every particular.
Like I said: if you don't like what someone is saying then change the channel, don't patronize the establishment, speak out against their position... whatever.
JUST DON'T ATTACK AN AMERICAN'S FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF PC RULE YOU'D LIKE THEM TO FOLLOW!
(And, for the love of God... learn what 'Libertarian means.)
Re: "Buddy. I am fairly sure even you know that when someone advertises a product, be it a box of detergent or a music performance, they have an obligation to deliver the goods when people pay for it with slices of their lives."
NOTE: If a consumer buys a ticket to a musical event, and the performer performs... then they have 'delivered' what they promised....
"If someone spends $100 to hear music from a performer, the performer has no moral right to give a campaign speech instead."
'No moral right'??????? Are you KIDDING, or WHAT???? What is 'immoral' about exercising one's right to free speech and free expression? (You'd make a GREAT STALINIST, Johannes!)
"It is just a matter of common decency. But of course you've painted yourself in a corner, having staked out this immoral position of yours"
I repeat the question: what 'law of morality' has been violated?
The 'I said something that Johannes disagreed with law'?????
