You have told us that you will vote for the demo regardless of who is the candidate.
I am wondering just how deep your conviction is.

Does that include McGreevy?

What a fascinating question!

McGreevy has nothing whatsoever to do with my vote for President. Why would you think it might? Connect the dots for me, please.

The fact that Bush has done virtually nothing that I agree is well established. It is also well documented on this thread--a while back I took the time to post a top ten list of my disagreements with Bush. So my conviction, if that word applies, that the probability that whoever opposes Bush would suit me better is quite firm. There's nothing complicated about this, uw. When the probability of Bush pleasing me is near zero, then any nominated alternative would have to be an improvement, or at least would be no worse. Like, duh.

As for the downside, as a practical matter, a Democrat in the White House has the proverbial snowball's chance in hell of enacting any of his agenda so the downside risk of ending up with some equally unattractive Dem hell is negligible. What I get with a Dem victory is a brake on the Rep hell. IMO, that's a Good Thing.

I'm a reluctant but nonetheless big fan of gridlock. Big federal government, whichever version, is a negative in my political view. While it would be better to directly trim government, that is not likely in our political climate. So the next best thing is to let it thrash itself into a stalemate. It's inefficient, but the best option available.

See, uw, noting complicated about this. And utterly unrelated to McGreevy.
