Pineapple days or Coconights The AZNT thread provided countless hours of chuckles and enjoyment. You could laugh out loud when you encountered some of promoters in the ridiculous costumes they concocted. AZNT is gone but the insanity is still here on SI. I see people stating things which are categorically stupid, I see people making claims which they support by linking weblogs. I expect stupid promotions when people are flogging a Pink Sheet stock, I expect claims to be supported by company press releases and nothing else, I expect chewing gum that means you will never have to brush your teeth again and creams that replace condoms to prevent transmission of disease. I expect barks, seeds, stoned birds, mad office appliances and Janice Shell with a .606 Gibbs stalking a Las Vegas warehouses which hold the treasures from the Amazon. I have become inured to stupidity in POS stock promotions. I am concerned about people who feel they owe allegiance to something outside of this world. They want to flash and glitter through the bitstream and yet they stand in the mud of the other world, anchored so deeply they couldn't be extracted with a firehose and a horse.
