I'd be surprised if John McCain doesn't become more vocal in the coming weeks. Having been the victim of a similar Rove-inspired smear, you'd think he must be livid. His reputation is on the line; will he toe the party line, knowing that a fellow brave vet is being unfairly smeared by politicians who avoided Vietnam like the plague while he sat rotting in a Vietnamese prison?

If he does nothing more, McCain is not the man I thought he was.
