yes, i see back on april 23,2004, even michael kranish's own boston globe article addresses peck's correction of kerry's actual command date of pcf 94. thus last spring is seems clear there was a timing problem known to the kerry campaign with some of kerry's war time claims. given that peck and alston were wounded the same day, january 29th 1969, it seems amazing the kerry people would have gone ahead with alston speaking for kerry. i read somewhere that alston is now a Reverend in south carolina now. what church is he giving the sermons for??? let's assume this peck claim is true, it seems amazing that alston, kerry, et al, could cook this stuff up at such a high level and think they could get away with it long enough for kerry to get elected! i have to ask myself, "could kerry be this stupid?" the only answer that makes sense is that it has worked so far.
