i have to ask myself, "could kerry be this stupid?" the only answer that makes sense is that it has worked so far.

I think what happened is that Alston showed up and said, "hey, I was with you and I want to help." Most of the Swift vets disliked Kerry and he knew it. He took Alston as he was and used him, not seeing the future consequences. They both figured that nobody would find out. By now, they probably believe their lies.

They would have got away with it if the Swift Vet story had not surfaced. Nobody was checking them out. Hell, maybe they are telling the truth and can prove the timeline wrong. But it looks doubtful.

They can still get away with it if the media doesn't get tough. Just holler, "lies!", until Nov 3rd. But the beauty of this is that it is not a "he said, she said." Everything so far is from the records and other records will prove or disprove it. If they claim it is a lie, the question then is, "why don't you release your records to prove it?" If they refuse to do that, bingo!
